Welcome to the Open University's postgraduate programme in Environmental Decision Making (EDM).The EDM programme offers a range of courses that can lead to a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or masters degree. It is primarily about people and their decisions and actions that have environmental effects, rather than being a programme about the 'environment'. This programme is constructed with a wide range of professional activities and occupations in mind. It is relevant to those working in environmental management as well as in associated activities such as health and safety or quality management. Whatever your background it will widen your knowledge about environmental decision making and develop your skills in making informed decisions about environmental issues, whether at work, in your community or at home. Through the EDM programme, you can join the hundreds of students each year who study the OU style of supported open learning in the UK, throughout Europe or further afield. Courses in the programme are studied through text-based delivery with multimedia components that include audio-visual resources, computer forums and on-line resources. All courses are studied with support from an OU tutor. |
